PRESENTATIONS

Creating Visuals To Tell A Story

Each presentation deck requires unique visuals to help tell a story. I help design decks for a variety of needs spanning from pitches for sponsorship availabilities, showing internal organizational growth and goals, or pitching new ways to use established spaces throughout the city. By designing a presentation around a look, I can organize a vision from someone's head and put it on a screen. By creating mockups, icons, and text flow, a well-designed presentation can allow anyone to focus on the bigger picture and less on the vision of what could be.

SOCIAL GRAPHICS

Deep Thoughts with Trip J

Jaren "Trip J" Jackson Jr. is full of many thoughts and quotable moments. I helped to create some illustrations and social templates to help the social team at the Memphis Grizzlies could use to inspire the world with his young wisdom.

Memphis Hustle

2019-20 Season Look

The NBA G League team of the Memphis Hustle is a fresh new team with many possibilities. The inclusion of red jersey texture for the pop of color, but large amounts of white and space throughout the social thread was an important feature to help start expanding the brand's identity.

Grizz Gaming

2020-21 Season Look

Memphis and grit go hand-in-hand, which is why the textures and layering for the 20-21 seasons gaming campaign was an obvious answer. The previous season's look was darker and had less imagery. The look for the new season was to brighten up the look and keep it bright with more images of the players.

Classic-Uni.png

This social design concept modernizes the 2001 Memphis Grizzlies style when the team first moved to the city. Including the original tall and narrow custom Grizzlies font, but combining it with a softer rounded handwritten font, more commonly used in design today. The use of heavy dark elements with splashes of red and teal are a play off of the original jersey when the team moved.

Deer-District-Branding.png

Deer District Market

The Deer District Market branding began when the idea of a night market during the summer in Deer District outside of Fiserv Forum. The market would allow the city to supply the community with healthy, locally-produced food and support and develop small businesses. The name of the market was the start of the development, followed by keeping the logo generic enough to allow for food, items, and a variety of other vendors to feel welcome to sell their goods.

Titans-Drumline.png

Tennessee Titans Blue Crew Drumline

The Tennessee Titans Drumline, Blue Crew, was long due for a logo and branding. With the focus on staying within the team's brand and including the three stars from the Tennessee state flag and inclusion of the Titans logo. The final chosen logo fit great on a drumhead, being more of a circular design that was delicate. The bold type is strong enough to see from the stands in the stadium or whatever event the drumline performs.

Rise-&-Grind-Branding.png

Rise & Grind Podcast

Rise & Grind is a podcast featuring Jessica Benson and Meghan Triplett talking about the latest stories in sports, entertainment, pop culture, and the city of Memphis. The podcast needed a fun, young, but flashy family of logos for the morning show.

Pi-Design-Boston-Branding.png

Pi Design Boston

Pi Design Boston is a small family embroidery and screen printing business. They wanted to take their love of monogramming and allow others to purchase custom pieces. With the base of the idea of the couple being married on Pi Day, March 14, and their initials creating the center Pi icon, the logo had a great starting place.

Titans-Cheerleaders.png

Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders

The Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders have existed for over 40 years and wanted to refresh the design of their logo. The squad needed a more modern look for their social and online needs. The new logo is horizontal, includes the Titans logo, the three stars connecting it to the Tennessee state flag, along with similar detailed lines for a delicate touch to a bold wordmark.

After a long-awaited 2nd Championship for the Bucks, the need to supply the fans with more merchandise to show their support was greater than ever. Here is a version of a shirt I created with a concert shirt type feel listing out all the games in the Playoff run on the back and a collage of celebratory images on the front.

Milwaukee Bucks

2020-21 Championship Shirt

Every Monday game features a local Milwaukee artist. I was selected to be the first of the series for the 2021-22 season on November 22, 2021. The shirt design idea was based around the 75th anniversary of the NBA city edition jersey.

Memphis Grizzlies Giveaways

There are many giveaways given out throughout the Grizzlies season, some of which I had a hand in creating. There have been a few favorites, seen above, that I was able to have a hand in designing. Continuing the Beale Street branding and making things unique throughout the league was a big key to creating these designs.

Dog-Jersey.png

Memphis Hustle Dog Uniforms

For the 2017-18 and 2018-19 Hustle seasons the team wanted a uniform that would help them raise money for a local dog shelter. The jersey on the left being the 2018-19 season look inspired the following seasons to feature images of fans' and players' dogs. They were able to make a donation after the game to purchase the jersey, shorts, or both to help support the Humane Society of Memphis. It has been a local hit and even inspired several games that were dog-themed, allowing fans to bring their pooches to support and cheer on the team.

Small Business Social Templates

I worked with a local Milwaukee small business to create social templates to help other small businesses not be lost worrying about their social presence. Our focus was to create a variety of easily changeable templates to help them focus on their company and brand first. By setting up an overall brand look and style for posts like giveaways, lists, and infographics, the company can adjust to their needs and get views faster.

About Me

I grew up in New Jersey and studied Graphic Design and Marketing at The College of New Jersey. I fell in love with working in the sports industry when I accepted an internship with the Philadelphia Flyers, and have been in professional sports ever since. I ended up moving to downtown Memphis, where I lived for almost five years while working for the Memphis Grizzlies. During my time in Memphis, I got a Dachshund, Jimmie. He has visited over ten states with me. I now live in Milwaukee for my current job at the Milwaukee Bucks. I have been blessed to be able to experience becoming an NBA Champion. I can't wait to see what adventures in design and life await me here.
